Real Knowledge Has Friction

The social media world can easily manipulate and distort our relationship with knowledge. It trains us to believe that understanding is something you can easily download, something you can consume in tiny pieces, something you can shortcut. It promises speed and that you will forgo or bypass the painful mistakes. And here lies the problem. This is why you can’t learn most of the things you sign up to. If you do not fully live the experience with your body and your soul, i argue, you cannot truly know something. You must come into deep, intense friction with the thing you are trying to achieve, no lifehack or shortcut can teach you this and this is very important. The knowledge must be fully, deeply integrated within you first.
